A Rare Visit to Red Lion Pub & Restaurant
It was on August; the summer of 2011 that my co-workers had I visited England for our holiday. As part of our tours in this great and awesome place, we arrived to Worcestershire. One of my colleagues had a college mate who stayed in the area and needed to catch up after being part for almost for years.
It is not only the beauty of this ancient town and culture which made our evening, but the place that we decided to spend the evening. It was at Red Lion Pub & Restaurant. To say that the place was stunning would be an understatement.
We were welcomed by the cheerful proprietors, Julie and Serge. During our pleasantries, I couldn’t fail to detect that they were really lovely and more hospitable. Their team were also unique and as much welcoming as the employers.
Great Traditional Food on the Menu Climaxed our Visit
On the menu, Serge took to prepare for us a traditional cuisine which was so appetizing and unique in its way, Kudos to him. They even prepared a nice meal for Junny, the dog of the friend whom we had visited.
Then we proceeded to the beer pub. The coziness of the place worked miracles for us during that evening. I even went to chat with some other visitors at the pub, and a guy (sorry I didn’t catch his name) went ahead to tell me more tales and culture about the place as well as the pub. He went to great lengths of explaining to me some of the most prominent people who visited the place as how it was during days when football matches were played and some local football fans would meet at the place to cheer their teams. I must admit that he was quite narrative and had a unique way of telling old, nostalgic stories as if they happened yesterday.
We stayed at the pub till close time and I must agree that the place is great. Julie was the one who escorted us to the car that we had hired and she as she bid us goodbye, I could see it in her eye how glad she was to have us.
I must agree that if I have another chance of visiting the place, I wouldn’t hesitate to visit the place and have another delicious cuisine which characterizes Red Lion. For Julie and Serge, I must admit that I was very grateful for the hospitality and the warm welcome. This is a position that my fellow co-workers too shared after visiting the place.
